Grays Harbor Emergency Management Clarifies a weekend story

The Grays Harbor Emergency Management department would like to clarify an older news story being circulated Monday morning; over the weekend the department had asked people to stay away from a beach near Ocean
Shore where some oil had washed ashore late Saturday afternoon.
The department director, Anne Sullivan, says oil was reported late Saturday afternoon from the Ocean Shores jetty to about a mile north.
However;
The state Ecology Department was notified over the weekend, and Sullivan said the Emergency Management department is no longer asking folks to stay away from that area.
