Former Grays Harbor Local Thanks the County Commissioners
Wed, 21 May 2008 13:46:23 PDTGlenn Remissky from San Francisco California spoke at the Grays Harbor County Commissioner's meeting yesterday. As a former resident, and current homeowner of Oyhut, he wanted to thank the County for their consideration of the sewer project in that area, to get the cities of Oyhut and Illahea off of septic systems and onto a city sewage system.

Al Carter had an update on the progress of that project stating that
The council will be making a presentation with the City of Ocean Shores, to the city council in Ocean shores July 8th. The council is also asking around the community to see how the Oyhut residents feel about the idea of these changes.

The failing septic systems in the area have been contributing to fecal coliform levels in Dungeness Bay, affecting coastal shellfish gardens.
